About NASA NEX-GDDP-CMIP6 Data

The NEX-GDDP-CMIP6 dataset provides high-resolution, bias-corrected climate projections that help researchers evaluate climate change impacts with greater local precision. This data is derived from the General Circulation Model (GCM) runs conducted under the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6 (CMIP6).

We charge only for the service of data retrieval, processing, and use of the tool, not for the data itself. NASA remains the primary source and owner of all raw climate data. Please note that a very small number of combinations of Climate Models (GCMs), variables, and Shared Socioeconomic Pathways (SSPs) are unavailable in the NASA CMIP6 dataset. These gaps—such as specific scenarios or variables for certain models like MRI-ESM2-0 and NESM3—represent a minor portion of the overall dataset. In some instances, data were replaced due to quality issues or minor inconsistencies.
